How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Malone TradeSport Ladder Rack on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Adding a ladder rack system to the back of your pickup helps resolve the issue of needing to carry materials that are longer than the bed of your truck. With this one, this is a 6 1/2-foot box, and if you had longer lumber, a longer ladder than my demo ladder, or even like your sports and rec side, kind of how the name implies, if you have a surfboard, canoes, fishing rod holder, that's a longer one for like fly rods, this is gonna work for that as well. In general, this is just the best way to maximize negative space in the back of your vehicle that you otherwise wouldn't have access to. Let's grab some measurements to see what we're adding to the back of our vehicle. So from the bottom of the bed to the bar, we're right at 50 inches. more

When you add a ladder rack system like the Overhaul HD, it allows you to get dual usage out the bed of your truck. It helps you when you're doing your work during the week to carry those longer items like ladders, lumber, maybe PVC pipe. And during the weekend it allows you to carry your enjoyment equipment like the TopWater for your fishing poles or maybe a bike carrier or even possibly a rooftop tent. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Malone Cross Bed Ladder Rack System on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Having a ladder rack system is gonna allow you to get those longer items like ladders, lumber, PVC pipe, or even things for your sports and rec activities like canoes or bike carriers or T-track accessories. Included with the cross sport are gonna be four load stops that you're gonna be able to make adjustments with using the black knob, they fit into your T-track, which is 7/8-inch wide. That's gonna work with all your T-track accessories, and you'll be able to use the rubber stripping to fill in the spaces to help reduce wind noise. As far as your towers, these guys are gonna have a padding system that's underneath that makes contact with the top of the bed and a clamp on the rear to secure it to the top of the vehicle. You're 3.5 inches as far as the width, and then the thickness is right at an inch and a half. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima BedRock HD Ladder Rack System on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Adding a ladder rack system like the BedRock HD, it's gonna allow you to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road, and it's gonna give you the flexibility to use things like bike carriers, roof boxes, and any T-Track accessories. Overall, our bars are gonna be 78-inches wide. The thickness is right at 2 1/2 inches and you're gonna be right at three-inches wide. You're gonna have a hook tie-down point here on the end that you can use the Yakima HD straps if you chose, or you can use any bungee cord or tie-down position. The towers actually are padded and they clamp onto the edge of your bed and it's gonna hold on securely. more

Hi Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the Yakima Overhaul Ladder Rack System on the back of our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. And this can be a great option for you if you're looking for something so you can haul a lot more items or you wanna do some camping or using it for recreational uses. So let's check it out. Our system today is gonna be comprised of three parts and the first one is gonna be up top and that's gonna be our 68 inch Yakima HD crossbars. So a few things about this one is up top you're gonna have this T channel that you can use for T channel accessories, which is really nice because this is a thicker bar so it's gonna be harder to put on a lot of clamp on accessories. And with that we're gonna have this included weather strip at the top that's gonna keep a lot of debris and water from getting in there and it's also gonna help reduce wind noise. more

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2021 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Thule TracRac SR ladder rack on our 2021 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this is gonna be a very capable ladder rack, perfect for a work truck because it's got a heavy weight capacity of 1,250 pounds. Plus with some nice features like included load stops for helping to box in whatever you're carrying and plenty of tie down points throughout, you're gonna be able to tie things down safely and quickly. But one of the things that really sets this apart is the sliding where you can loose up hand knobs and actually move the uprights front and back to match different spread, or just all the way towards the cab for a more stored position, or entirely remove them if you wanted to take it off. Kuat Ibex Adjustable Overland Truck Bed Rack Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat IBEX Truck Bed Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. So the IBEX is going to be somewhat adjustable giving you in the initial setup process when you get it out of the box, two height settings, the low profile which we have it in here, or the regular height which would be pretty much level with the roof of your vehicle. Personally on this truck, I don't love the low profile look. If you're going to be mounting up something like a tent it is a little bit more helpful to have it closer to the ground, but you are gonna be doing things like sacrificing that back window quite a bit and it just makes it harder to access your truck bed underneath. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima Bedrock HD Truck Bed Rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. It's gonna be a great way for you to get some larger accessories where you need 'em to go, but still make them accessible to you and not get them up so high that you can't reach them while still leaving you space in your bed to carry more gear so let's check it out. Right now we have this system working with our 78 inch crossbars, which gives us a good amount of room here, but it's still not gonna be enough that it exceeds the overall width of the vehicle. It stays within the mirrors, so as long as you know that your mirrors are getting clear wherever you're going through, the crossbars are clear as well. Taking a closer look at those crossbars, they are heavy duty, they are rated for off-road use as well. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Yakima OutPost HD truck bed ladder rack sits on our 2023 GMC Sierra 3500. This is gonna be a fixed ladder rack system where you don't really get much height but you get a lot of stability and you still have extra cargo space. So good if you wanna open up your truck bed for other items. You want something that works with your toolbox but you also need to carry around maybe kayak, ladders or truck bed tent. This Sierra 3500 has the eight foot bed so you could definitely get away with a lower fixed rack system like this. If you have the shorter bed with the toolbox you might want to go over the cab, in that case definitely check out the Yakima OverHaul HD instead. more

It is adjustable so you can accommodate some different heights, but it's a great way to get some longer larger loads on top of your truck, whether that be ladders, whether that be some sports and rec things like kayaks, skis, snowboards, anything that you wanna get on your crossbars here, we can do that. It's got a weight capacity of 500 pounds, but it's also rated for off-road usage but that's gonna drop your weight capacity down to 300 pounds. It's really modular, it's really nice to work with, so let's check it out. For our set up we have 78 inch heavy duty crossbars on here. more

This is gonna be a great option for you if you work in an industry where maybe you have to bring larger, longer loads with you more frequently, like ladders or lumber, or maybe on the sports and rec side of things, you wanna get a kayak up on your truck or you can lower it down in the case of the Xsporter so it can be more aerodynamic and you're gonna have more options of what you wanna load up in there. Let's check it out. This rack is able to support up to 450 pounds so it can hold a lot of weight, depending on what you wanna get on here. Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Truck Ladder Rack Installation - 2023 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Ladder Rack on the back of our 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. Now the big benefit here is that it's aluminum. It's going to make that really lightweight so getting it in and out of the truck bed if we don't wanna leave it installed all the time it's gonna be really easy to do that even if you're doing it by yourself. And then with that, it's going to resist rust and corrosion over time much more than something like a powder coated steel would. more

Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Truck Ladder Rack Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Flint Hill Goods aluminum ladder rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Just gonna be a great way to get some longer loads that you can't necessarily fit in your bed like this eight foot ladder that we have here or lumber or even maybe some kayaks if you have those to where you need to go. The rack itself is made of aluminum so it's relatively lightweight considering and it's able to support up to 400 pounds and holds the actual load in place by the load stops, the load stops themselves do rotate and slide up and down this track and then they rotate to the right clockwise to tighten in place. Some of the other load stops on different ladder racks have the ability to tighten them down at the bottom. These can be a little bit strange when you're actually tightening them up close to your load because they will actually be contact with it while you're trying to tighten them but they're okay overall. more

What's up everybody Adam here with etrailer today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. We're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima Bedrock HD truck bed rails. So if you have a truck and you have to do a lot of different things with it, well this one, when you do some fifth-wheel hauling, it has a Tonneau cover on here, but now we have some bars. So with trucks they're typically pretty tall. And when it comes to roof accessories, you're typically gonna have a naked roof on top. So it's kind of a more premium option to put a roof rack on the roof. more

Thule Xsporter Pro Mid Overland Truck Bed Rack Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi there GM owners. Today on your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Thule's Xsporter Mid Overland. And this is what Thule's Xsporter looks like on our truck here, we can see that it does have feet that clamp onto our rails, they're nice and robust looking, and it has thin, streamlined bars that should be very aerodynamic, yet very strong. These are really designed for recreational activities, so whether you're going to be putting on a bike rack or cargo carriers, or tents are real popular on these, and that's why we have all that support here, so that we could put at tent on this and get ourselves up in the air off the ground and sleep overnight. That frees up plenty of room in the back of our truck bed for accessories. If we take a closer look at our rails here we can see on top we've got load stops that come included with it, these are adjustable so you can move it around as necessary for your accessories or whatever you're bringing with you, whether it be your gear. more

Today I'm going to be doing a test fit on the Thule TracRac Ladder Rack System, on this 2019 GMC Sierra.This ladder rack system's going to come in a nice flat black finish, and also it comes in silver. This TracRac system is going to have 65 inches across the top, and it's a very universal fit. On this GMC Sierra, it was a very install.This is going to be great for storing your ladders and also you can store your kayaks or paddle boards, basically anything that is too long to fit into your bed, you can store up here on your ladder rack.As you can see, with our ladder strapped to our ladder rack up top, we can use our whole entire bed for whatever you may need.So this ladder rack is made of aluminum, and it's going to be able to hold up to 800 pounds of cargo that may store on top of your rack. This is going to be a very universal fit. Basically you can adjust it up top here to accommodate for whatever truck you have at your business or at home. more

Speaker 1: Today on a 2013 GMC Sierra we're going to be taking a look at the Tule Xsporter Pro adjustable height, truck bed, ladder rack. That's going to be part number TH500XT. This ladder rack's going to be great for carrying any type of ladders or other elongated accessories above your truck bed up to 450 pounds. It's going to help free up space in the bed of our truck for any accessories such as our fifth wheel right here or any other cargo we might be hauling that day.This ladder rack has a unique design in that its cross bars are adjustable in their height. So at its highest point you're going to be able to haul those long loads by them extending over the cab of your truck.How you adjust the height is you simply loosen this hand knob on both sides. Once you do that it can just simply lower down to the height you desire and then once you have it to the height, you simply just tighten it back up. more

TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on this 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be test fitting the TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TA27000-01. This is a fixed height, and it has these nice aerodynamic bars, which cut down wind noise and drag. It has these little channels here, where the four tie-downs that come with it can slide up and down, and then tighten down to accommodate whatever accessory that you have on top. It is adjustable for various truck bed widths, with these bolts here and here. You loosen those up on both sides, you move them in or out to whatever you need. It does clamp to your bed rails using two clamps per foot on all of them. This means that this is a no-drill install. All you're going to need is a 7/32 Allen head bit. Let's go ahead and put the last two on, and show you how that looks. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on this 2016 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack. Part number TH500XT. Now this ladder rack has 450 pound weigh capacity, but it also has these nice aerodynamic cross bars on both feet that actually cut down on wind drag and noise, as well as they come with these adjustable tie down hooks here, that can be moved from one side to the other, just loosening them up and sliding them through the T slot here. It also comes with a rubber strip, to put into the T slot to also cut down the noise but also jeep out dirt and grime while you're driving. This is adjustable to fit various truck bed widths by loosening up this bolt here, and this bolt on the other side. You can push it in or out, whatever you need to do for you truck bed. more

TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2009 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we're going to be doing a test fit of the TracRac TracOne. This is going to be your bed-mounted ladder rack system. It's going to have an 800 pound weight capacity, sturdy aluminum construction, and as you can see, it's going to fit on the vehicle quite nice. We're going to show you how to place the feet on the other side as well as talk about how these are adjustable to different bed widths, and your caps if you have them on the sides. We'll go ahead and drop down the tailgate and I'll show you how to place on the brackets that you're going to need to put it in place. You're going to have your c-clamps with the bolt on the bottom side, which is going to be an Allen screw. Then you're going to have your plate that will go on and sit on the top of that. more

TracRac CapRac Camper Shell Ladder Rack Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra- Video
Today in our 2008 GMC Sierra we're going to install the tracrac caprac ladder rack for for camper shells and truck cabs, part number TA29200. Now having a camper on your truck will limits to some of the stuff you can haul. The caprac solves that problem. Once you get it slide under your cross bars you're going to adjust your load stops, tie them down, use some tie down straps on your ladder. Now you're able to haul ladders or lumber, kayaks, canoes or any other accessory that you want to mount to your truck on your camper shelf. The aerodynamic design reduces drag and wind noise. The eliptable 00:00:37 crossbars are streamlined to reduce wind resistance. more
